Gerald L. Seitz, 87 years old of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 27th, 2019. The service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 1st at Hillside Christian Church; 6100 South Soncy. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Gerald was born in Dry Fork, Arkansas on January 23rd, 1932. He attended a Christian college in Arkansas. He served our country in the Korean War where was awarded a Purple Heart. Gerald was a member of the Amarillo Executive Club. Gerald was married to Nadine Holmes Seitz, they were married for 52 years. He was an entrepreneur of the professional beauty industry. He owned: Herzfeld Beauty and Barber Supply, The Success Company, Budget Beauty and Barber Supply, and 3 Hair Emporiums in Amarillo, Lubbock, TX and Tulsa, OK. He truly believed in the beauty business. Gerald liked negotiating with the manufacturers and their representatives. He would say “Never take their first offer”. He is survived by his loving companion, Roxanne Singleton, his children: Chris Seitz, Kenneth Seitz and wife Rose, Sheri Boswell and husband Brad. Grandchildren: Adam Seitz, Angelia Seitz, Shanna Rider, Shane Seitz, Chris D. Seitz, Brandon Johnson, Porshae York, Shalean Boswell Austin Boswell and Kenny Perry and many Great grandchildren, employees and friends. Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Nadine, sister Loretta, son Gerald Jr. (Jerry) and grandson Brian. He was a teacher and friend to many. His legacy reigns.
